You Don't Have to Have All the Answers
Being a teenager is a season of discovery. You are learning about yourself, discovering your strengths, developing your interests, building relationships, and understanding the world around you. You may change your mind. You may discover a new talent. You may realise that something you thought you wanted isn't actually for you. And that's okay.
Discover Before You Decide
Instead of becoming obsessed with having all the answers, start asking better questions: What am I good at? What do I enjoy learning about? What problems do I care about solving? What kind of person do I want to become? How can I use my gifts to help others?
Don't Compare Your Timeline
Social media can make it seem as though everyone else has already succeeded. Someone is starting a business at 15. Someone else is travelling around the world. Another teenager has thousands of followers. But you are seeing their highlight reel—not their entire journey. Your journey doesn't have to look like theirs.
Start Where You Are
You don't need to know everything before you start. Learn the skill. Read the book. Join the club. Volunteer. Ask questions. Find a mentor. Try something new. Pray. Take action. Every experience can teach you something.
Your Future Is Bigger Than Your Current Situation
Maybe you come from a difficult background. Maybe you don't have access to the same opportunities as some of your friends. Maybe your family doesn't understand your dreams. Maybe you've failed before. None of those things have to define the rest of your story. Your present situation is a chapter—not the entire book.
Takeaway
You don't have to have your entire life figured out. You just need the courage to take the next step. Your story is still being written.
